Water Maze Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems Are Commonly Found in the Trucking and Transportation Industry
Treating wastewater in the trucking and transportation industry is one of the most common applications for Water Maze simply because of the popularity of pressure washers used in cleaning all types of vehicles. This industry includes large trucking companies, fleet rentals, truck manufacturers, truck service centers, repair shops, bus companies, municipal transit yards, trains, airlines, airports, etc.

Problem:
Wastewater treatment needs are usually confined to oils, greases, and solids (dirt). Occasionally there are limited amounts of metals. Treatment is sometimes complicated by the need for a fresh-water rinse.

Water Maze has three main technologies that can be used in this application, two of which are quite unique. The most common approach is mechanical filtration, which is provided by the Water Maze CLP and Delta systems. Recently, Water Maze introduced into this application two recycle systems using bioremediation and an integrated electrocoagulation technology. The latter two have not only proven effective in removing oils and greases, but also metals and solids—both of which create a challenge for mechanical filtration systems. Water Maze also offers odor control through a variety of accessories, including ozone treatment. In the recycle mode excess water can be eliminated through the Water Maze evaporators allowing for the addition of fresh rinse water without overcharging the system. The evaporator can also reduce wastewater from parts washers, floor scrubber, etc. commonly used in this application.
